Good times in London.

Last September, I was lucky enough to visit London for an action-packed couple of days. I got a morning flight from 'Dublin' to 'Luton' with the magic of Ryanair !! I got a coach from the airport to Victoria, it took about an hour and a half. It was quite comfortable and there was WiFi Connection as an added bonus. I had used ' www.lastminute.com' to book an economy hotel called The Welligton. The hotel was well located and it was great value.

From Victoria, I was able to buy an all day 'Tube and Railway ticket for my son and I ,for about 11£. We went on a boat trip from Westminister Bridge down the Thames to the Tower of London. The guide from the boat gave us all the information about the sights in the area. With your all day ticket, we were able to get a 30% discount on the boat trip, which worked out at about 12 quid for the pair of us.

The next day, we rented out public bikes, which we found a bit difficult to figure out how to pay for and could have been a bit simpler to operate. The bikes themselves were fine and the first half an hour was free. After nearly getting knocked down by the crazy traffic, we went through Hyde Park which was much more relaxing and we saw some squirells!!!

Another fun thing we did, was to take in a trip to Arsenals Football Club, where we did a tour of the ground . It costs around 20 quid for one adult and one child. It takes about an hour to finish and is great fun if your a football fanatic ! ! ! We saw all the trophies and I sat in '' Arsene Wenger's pitch side seat. We sat in the Arsenal dressing rooms and chilled out in the V.I.P box where all the millionaires get pampered :) and get to watch the match in deluxe comfort...

Before we knew it, it was time to start packing bags for a return trip. Hope you enjoyed reading about my adventures and I would welcome any comments or suggestions for a future visit...

My Opinion in Travelling Deals

My first opinion in travelling deals...

If you are going to travel  somewhere, think big, think of a place that is not in an economical  crisis. Think of a place that is, if I may say, cheap..  The times we are living in at the moment is rough, our economy is over-board!  You see, the people that change the way they spend their money , are the people that will survive in the end without any trouble whatsoever.

So if you plan to travel abroad, make sure you get what you’re looking  for J . Now, there is two options, maybe if you are going away for a week , that’s about seven days. Imagine, it would cost around 1000 euro/pound/dollar or  so, including flights, hotels, meals, drinks  and transfers. But on the other hand,  if you stay in at least your own country, rent a b&b (Bed and Breakfast) , maybe rent a caravan….. Now look, all of that cost much less than around a grand.

This is a better chance to do all the fun things you wanted to do , but save so much less. You can ask a friend to bring up his boat, or some dart bikes or something fun, because you have all the freedom to go out and explore  to your limit.

On an other day, you might choose to go to the museum or to go to a funfair/ waterpark, maybe go to the cinema if its rainy. You can do all this for around 30 quid. Sure if you were away in your vacation, keeping it inclusive , this would probably cost about 130-150 quid. Don’t get me wrong, travelling is beautiful, learning new cultures, visiting historic places and so much more. I’m sure that you’ll enjoy it as much as you’d enjoy it staying here. This is just to make you wary of my opinion in Travel “Deals” .
